A course on investing in the stock market

Sensible educational courses on how to invest in the stock market are few and far between, which is why I’m happy to promote a new course that will be available soon at the Robertsbridge Community College in East Sussex.

Investing in the Stockmarket

The course will provide guidance for those who wish to take control of their financial future. Initially, there will be two separate courses:

  1. A morning course starting on 3rd November, and
  2. An evening course which starts on 6th November.

Each course consists of five weekly sessions of two hours each. There are plans to repeat the courses starting in June 2015 if there is still a demand.

The tutor for the course is Ray Williamson, a private investor for over 40 years.

Speaking about the course, Ray said, “I have often wondered why courses along these lines are almost non-existent in the UK – I have searched the internet and can find no others like it. The course will be aimed primarily – but not exclusively – at beginners and those with smaller amounts to invest. We will be looking, first of all, for value stocks and investment trusts of quality that have the potential to secure participants` financial futures. There are risks as well, of course, and guidance will also be given on how to mitigate those.”

You can find the course website here: Investing in the stock market

And the community college website is: www.robertsbridge.org.uk

Author: John Kingham

I cover both the theory and practice of investing in high-quality UK dividend stocks for long-term income and growth.

  1. Hi John

FYI the links to the course website appear to be broken?

    Kind regards

    Sean

    1. Hi Sean, unfortunately the course was cancelled due to lack of demand. I think this sort of thing is only likely to work in London or via the internet.
